JD Edwards Business Analyst

JD Edwards BA – IT is responsible for understanding business processes, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and translating approved solutions into technical specifications and/or procedural modifications that can be implemented against the various applications that support those business processes. They are the liaison between Corporate, business unit and IT development and support functions. They proactively communicate and collaborate with their customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements. They also collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs. They have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
Responsibilities
• Support E1 and related applications
• Proactively solve problems for production users and IT project teams
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and production/go live
• Collaborate on system architecture, design, best practices, and decisions
• Gather and develop functional requirements for reports, integrations, conversions and enhancements as they relate to E1 applications and supporting applications
• Analyze requirements and create reliable duration estimates
• Plan tasks and track progress against an integrated team project plan
• Communicate project status, task status, roadblocks, and critical matters to management promptly
• Prepare and maintain all application documentation to support development activities
Qualifications
• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or equivalent
• Demonstrated JD Edwards E1 functional experience in procurement is required.
• Experience with other modules like . Sales and Inventory Accounting, Financial Management, GL, AR, AP, Supply Chain Management, Order to Cash are a nice to have
• Knowledge of E1 system configuration standards
• Technical/functional leadership and communication skills with proven ability to collaborate with colleagues in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to gather and develop functional requirements for reports, integrations, conversions and enhancements as they relate to E1 applications and interfacing applications
• Aptitude for finding the root cause and solutions for a wide variety of JDE and supporting software issues
• Ability to partner with vendor support to assist in timely problem resolution
