Director of RIA Capital Raising (Real Estate)
A South East based Multi-Family Development firm is seeking a Director of RIA Capital Raising to expand its distribution in the RIA channels. This is a senior, high-impact role focused on raising new capital, educating advisors, and positioning differentiated real estate strategies with financial intermediaries nationwide.
The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of Real Estate capital raising within the RIA wealth ecosystem, a strong understanding of alternative investment structures, and the ability to translate complex real estate strategies into compelling, advisor-friendly narratives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Capital Raising: Originate and grow RIA/independent wealth relationships; deliver measurable inflows across pooled offerings and deal-by-deal opportunities.
• Advisor Education: Clearly explain pooled vs. fund structures, highlighting investor benefits (no promote, no markup, sidecar rights, preferred carry).
• Platform Access: Drive inclusion on custodial platforms
• Relationship Management: Act as senior point of contact for advisors, ensuring smooth onboarding, compliance, and proactive service.
• Market Presence: Represent the firm at conferences, webinars, and advisor events to broaden distribution.
• Strategic Input: Provide market feedback to leadership on product positioning and RIA channel dynamics.
Candidate Profile:
• RIA Channel Expertise: 7–10+ years raising capital in real estate (can be mixed with broader alternatives), with a strong RIA/wealth network.
• Proven Fundraiser: Track record of delivering inflows, not just managing relationships.
• Platform Experience: Direct experience securing and managing placement on custodial platforms and alt marketplaces (CAIS, iCapital, Schwab, Fidelity etc.).
• Product Knowledge: Strong grasp of alternative structures; able to simplify complex strategies for advisor audiences.
• Credibility: Polished communicator respected by advisors as both fundraiser and a Real Estate product specialist.
• Location: Remote, though preference for someone to be based Mid-West to East Coast. With expectation travel for advisor meetings, conferences, and internal sessions.
