Senior Manager, Technical Project Management

Description: • Lead end-to-end technical project management for healthcare and life sciences data and analytics products • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scope, goals, and deliverables • Create detailed project plans and release strategies aligned with business priorities • Ensure and mature agile development and technical project management practices; coach teams on process improvements • Support day-to-day project development team activities • Track progress, unblock issues, and provide project, program and executive-level insights on project status • Supervise and mentor 2–3 Technical Project Managers; conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and development planning • Establish and refine project management standards, templates, and best practices; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement • Administer and optimize Jira workflows, boards, and configurations; enhance Jira usage including custom fields, automation, and reporting • Support and improve Tempo time tracking integration within Jira • Define and enforce delivery governance across projects and teams; develop and maintain standardized processes for project tracking, reporting, and documentation • Ensure consistent application of agile methodologies and technical project management practices • Contribute to software labor capitalization efforts by tracking and documenting qualifying work • Support leadership in assessing team capacity and projecting future resource needs; coordinate with product and engineering leadership to ensure resource availability • Facilitate communication across teams; create tailored reporting (including executive dashboards) for different stakeholder audiences • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide regular updates • Identify potential risks and challenges and develop/implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery • Foster a high-performing, collaborative culture within Product and Engineering and champion process rigor and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field required; Master’s degree preferred • 8+ years of experience in technical project management, including 2+ years in a people management role • Certifications such as PMP, Agile Scrum Master, and/or equivalent related certifications strongly desired • Strong proficiency in Atlassian tools, especially Jira (admin experience required) • Experience with Tempo time tracking module preferred • Familiarity with software labor capitalization is a plus • Deep understanding of agile development frameworks and product/engineering operations • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate strategy into execution and concisely communicate project and program status • Proven experience managing projects related to software engineering, data science, data engineering, and other technical projects • Preferred: software development experience and strong understanding of the software development life-cycle and DevSecOps • Results-driven, self-motivated, flexible, customer-focused, and comfortable navigating ambiguity Benefits: • Industry leading products • Work hard, and have fun doing it • Incredibly fast growth means limitless opportunity • Flexible and dynamic culture • Work alongside some of the most talented and dedicated teammates • Definitive Cares, our community service group, gives all of us a chance to give back • Competitive benefits package including great healthcare benefits and a 401(k) match Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
