Medicare Sales Specialist
Description:
• Work defined campaigns to assist Aetna Medicare members find appropriate coverage options
• Conduct compliant presentations throughout the sales process
• Acquire new members on Medicare products via inbound and outbound campaigns
• Learn and adapt to new approaches using defined trainings, processes, and scripting
• Assess customer needs using questions and superior listening skills during sales presentations
• Service existing members and handle inquiries related to product utilization and benefits
• Cross-sell applicable products to existing members
• Maintain high compliance with CMS and state regulations
• Multitask and use computer effectively while interacting with prospects and members via phone
• Participate in internal monitoring audits and coaching feedback sessions for schedule adherence, quality, selling skills and compliance
• Capture relevant information in Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)
• Meet sales goals, conversion rates and acquisition metrics
• Maintain professionalism and compliance; ensure acquisition thresholds for retention, cancellations, and rapid disenrollment
• Adhere to call center quality audit programs and drive high member satisfaction
• Maintain expert-level understanding of products, services, MAPD/DSNP offerings
Requirements:
• 1 to 2 years demonstrated sales experience
• Active Health insurance license or willingness to obtain
• Ability to obtain release, if contracted with another firm/carrier (if applicable)
• Ability to pass, on an annual basis: AHIP Continued Education (CE’s), Product Certification, Security and Compliance Client/Carrier Certifications, Any required CMS Certifications
• Active use of computer for carrying out daily job activities
• Ability to multi-task while talking on the phone
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Self-starter with positive attitude and ability to control emotions when dealing with unhappy customers
• Adaptable to fast-paced, high pressure, achievement-oriented environment
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Preferred: 1 to 2 years Medicare sales experience
• Preferred: Medicare call center experience
• Education: High school diploma or GED (Bachelors preferred)
