Special Education Teacher Long Term Sub (Moderate/Severe) - Remote (2024/25 School Year)
About the position
Responsibilities
• Provide specialized instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities at various educational levels.
• Plan, develop, and implement comprehensive Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
• Consult with school staff regarding special education services and strategies.
• Assess student progress and adapt instructional methods to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with parents, educators, and support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP documentation.
Requirements
• Valid and current California teaching credential appropriate for special education.
• English Learner Authorization (if not embedded in credential, provide a copy of CLAD, CTEL or equivalent).
• Three current professional letters of recommendation, including at least one from a direct supervisor.
• Unofficial copies of all college/university transcripts.
• Letter of introduction outlining qualifications and interest in the position.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with remote teaching tools and strategies.
