About the position
Responsibilities
• Serves as a Program Officer for international education grant programs, managing all facets of grant administration.
• Manages complex operational aspects of grant programs, including preparing materials for recommended applicants.
• Provides post-award technical assistance to grantees for effective administration and evaluation of funded projects.
• Offers clear and thorough technical assistance for developing competitive applications.
• Demonstrates strong writing skills in creating site visit reports, project monitoring reports, program toolkits, and outreach materials.
Requirements
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-07 in international education or related fields.
• Experience in presenting to diverse audiences requiring strong speaking and writing skills.
• Experience in developing or managing education programs or projects.
Nice-to-haves
• Knowledge of education theories, policies, and practices related to secondary or postsecondary education.
• Knowledge of project management techniques and practices.
• Ability to independently resolve problems using sound judgment.
• Knowledge of international and foreign language education.
