Pharmacy Technician, Specialty Care
About the position
Responsibilities
• Perform benefits investigations to determine coverage and facilitate prior authorization.
• Coordinate care for patients using Specialty Pharmaceutical products within company pharmacies and mail order.
• Track patients on Specialty Pharmaceutical products, conducting refill reminders and therapy questionnaires.
• Ensure patients are up-to-date with immunizations and market immunization services to organizations.
• Document and bill Medication Therapy Management services conducted in the pharmacies.
• Coordinate care for patients traveling overseas, ensuring they receive necessary immunizations.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification.
• Two years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience with prior authorization from third party payers.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Administration skills including planning, organizing, and resource management.
• Customer relations skills to meet customer needs and establish a service environment.
• Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Nice-to-haves
• Preferred experience with Albertsons or Safeway Pharmacies.
• Experience with PDX, EPS, and Enterprise.
