Faceless YouTube Creator & Editor (Finance Channel)
Type: Contract (long-term)
Location: Remote
Compensation: Competitive, with growth potential based on performance
Reports to: Creative Director & Editorial Lead
About the Role
We’re building a best-in-class finance channel and are hiring an experienced faceless YouTube creator/editor who can own end-to-end production. You’ll turn approved topics into highly watchable, search-optimized videos that educate, uncover stories, and keep viewers hooked, without appearing on camera.
Core Content Focus
Education: explainers, how-tos, market concepts, portfolio strategy
Expert Investor Bios: concise, story-driven profiles (past & present)
Documentary-Style Investigations: deep dives into trends, companies, and macro themes
Financial Fraud & Scams: cautionary case studies and breakdowns
What You’ll Do
Own the full pipeline: research, outline, script collaboration, voiceover coordination (or self-VO), editing, motion graphics, sound design, thumbnails, SEO metadata, and upload.
Edit for narrative tension: cold opens, fast hooks, pattern breaks, pacing, and retention tactics (A/B testing hooks and thumbnails).
Build visually rich stories: combine stock footage, B-roll, charts, callouts, archival clips, and tasteful motion graphics.
Collaborate: work with our in-house creatives for script approval, brand consistency, and final cut sign-off.
Deliverables: up to 10 long-form videos/month (5–20 minutes each); the ability to spin out shorts/reels from the long-form content is a plus.
Optimize: titles, descriptions, tags, end screens, chapters, and CTR-driving thumbnails; follow compliance guidelines for finance content.
Must-Have Qualifications
Proven YouTube experience editing faceless content (finance, entertainment, gaming, or nostalgia niches are a strong plus).
Access to licensed stock footage & music libraries (e.g., Artlist, Epidemic Sound, Storyblocks, Motion Array, Envato Elements, Getty/iStock, etc.).
Expert video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve; color, audio mixing, and sound design proficiency.
Motion graphics & animation in After Effects (custom lower thirds, transitions, charts, kinetic text, map moves).
Scripting & voiceover familiarity: can draft/doctor scripts and provide or source professional voiceover (human-sounding, clear, and compliant).
Design chops in Photoshop/Illustrator for high-CTR thumbnails.
YouTube SEO & analytics: keyword research, retention analysis, A/B testing hooks/thumbnails, audience insights.
Research rigor: ability to cite sources, fact-check, and present complex topics clearly and responsibly.
