Part-Time QA Tester for Certification Management Platform (10–15 hrs/week, Pacific Time overlap)
We’re looking for a detail-oriented QA Tester to support the ongoing development of our Certification Management Platform (CMP). The CMP is used by training providers, instructors, and students to manage training records and certifications.
Your role will focus on manual QA testing to ensure stability, accuracy, and smooth product launches.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain a test case library covering core CMP functions:
Certificates
Training records
Roles & permissions
Notifications
Date handling
Provider accounts & student merges
Perform manual functional and regression testing after each release.
Submit bug reports with clear steps, expected vs actual results, and screenshots/videos.
Log all issues in GitHub Issues.
Deliver a weekly QA report including:
Coverage tested
Bugs logged with priority
Validation of fixes
Within the first 4 weeks: deliver a baseline test case library + regression checklist.
After manual test coverage is in place: propose a lightweight automation roadmap (e.g., Playwright/Selenium).
Requirements:
Proven QA experience with web applications (training/education platforms a plus).
Strong bug documentation skills (clear, reproducible reporting).
Familiarity with GitHub Issues (or similar bug tracking).
Strong English communication skills.
Availability for 10–15 hrs/week with overlap in Pacific Time hours.
Nice to Have (not required):
Experience with automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium).
Background in training, certification systems, or LMS tools.
Engagement Details:
Hours: 10–15 hrs/week.
Rate: $8–15 USD/hr (≈ $10–20 CAD/hr).
Monthly: ~$600–$900 CAD/month depending on workload.
Contract: Ongoing, starting with a 1-month paid trial.
