Job Summary of Stock and Inventory Specialist:
As a Walmart Stocker, your responsibility is fundamental in maintaining the availability of products on the sales floor. Along with the store team, you will work towards ensuring that the store remains organized. You may also be expected to work shifts during non-business hours such as early mornings and overnight to restock merchandise.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Stock and Inventory Specialist:
• Ensure that Walmart's standards are met when stocking shelves and unloading merchandise from trucks.
• Take charge of inventory tracking by performing routine stock evaluations and noting any discrepancies in the system.
• A clean and organized storage area is crucial to ensure that items are categorized and labeled correctly, minimizing the risk of misplacing or losing the merchandise.
• Helping customers find items and responding to their questions is a fundamental aspect of providing quality customer service.
• The key to a secure work environment is following established safety guidelines.
• Foster teamwork and productivity by working together with colleagues and cultivating a positive work culture.
Qualifications and Experience of Stock and Inventory Specialist:
• The ideal candidate would have a secondary school diploma or an equal credential.
• Although it is desirable to have past experience in retail, it is not necessary.
• Competence to heave weighty stuff and handle physically strenuous work.
• Proficient in paying attention to details and organizing work immaculately.
• Outstanding communication talents and exceptional interpersonal abilities.
• Being available for varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays is a requirement for this job.
• The body must possess physical stamina to perform frequent bending, lifting, and standing tasks.
• Potential to function in low-temperature zones for stocking and handling perishable goods.
