Nursing Assistant - Cardiac Telemetry Night Shift
About the position
Responsibilities
• Uses the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan and implement individualized interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan.
• Anticipates and recognizes significant changes in the patient's condition and takes appropriate actions.
• Implements strategies to reduce patient risk and increase patient safety.
• Coordinates the discharge plan utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.
• Applies evidence-based practice to deliver patient care.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution skills.
• Promotes a culture of safety and reports patient safety events.
• Participates in quality/process improvement initiatives.
• Engages in professional development and contributes to the development of others.
Requirements
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in telemetry nursing.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively make critical, independent decisions.
