Parametric CAD + STEP/DXF for Simple Welded Frame w/ Fan Panel (Bed Cooling Cart)
Goal
Turn two mockup elevations + my constraints into a shop-ready CAD package a fabricator can quote. The product is a simple welded frame on casters with a front fan panel and a separate bin behind it.
Hard constraints (do not change)
Overall envelope: 54″ W × ≤12″ D × 60″ H
Frame: 1″ square-tube on casters
Front panel: included; 4 round fan cutouts; fan centers at 48″ from floor
Bin: included as a separate part (open-top wedge behind the panel)
Deliverables
STEP (AP214) assembly with separate solids named: Frame, FrontPanel, Bin, Shelf, Casters
DXF for the front panel (single perimeter + 4 circles; clean geometry)
1-page PDF showing overall dims (54/≤12/60), fan center height = 48″, panel size/thickness, plus note:
Unless noted: Linear ±1/16″, Holes +0.010/−0.000″, Angles ±1°.
Native CAD file (Fusion 360 / SolidWorks / Onshape) with clearly editable dimensions (parametric preferred)
Reasonable assumptions (unless I specify otherwise)
Tube: 1″ × 0.065″ steel; Rails: bottom + mid (at fan height) + top
Front panel: ~2 mm sheet (steel or aluminum)
Bin: thin-wall visual; ≥1/4″ clearance from frame
Casters: generic plate casters (no exact bolt pattern)
Milestones
M1 Block-out (2–3 days): posts/rails, panel w/ 4 holes, bin wedge (screens for approval)
M2 STEP preview: quick measurement check
M3 Final package: STEP + panel DXF + 1-page PDF + native CAD (payment on acceptance)
Acceptance checklist
STEP opens with separate, correctly named bodies
Measures: W=54.00″, D≤12.00″, H=60.00″, fan centers=48.00″
DXF: one outline + 4 circles, correct units, no duplicates
PDF shows key dims + tolerance note
Please include in your bid
CAD tool + whether model will be parametric/editable
1–2 examples of welded frames/brackets you’ve modeled
Fixed price and lead time; any DFM suggestions (tube wall, panel thickness, edge distances, finish)
IP
Work-for-hire. I own the source files and deliverables.
