Patient Service Representative - Access Center - Part-time/Remote from Maine
About the position
Responsibilities
• Greet patients in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Answer telephones and manage incoming calls.
• Schedule appointments for patients.
• Perform general Access call center duties as assigned.
• Collect, verify, enter, and monitor patient data.
• Comply with federal, state, and MaineHealth confidentiality policies.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous medical office and customer service experience.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques.
• Excellent professional judgment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate calmly and clearly over the phone.
• Skill in using computer programs and applications, including Epic and Groupcast.
• Skill in conflict resolution.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations.
