What You Will Be Doing

• Delivering adaptive reading workshops that develop foundational skills in phonics, comprehension, and fluency
• Designing personalized motivational sessions that boost engagement through gamified literacy milestones
• Analyzing student progress data to continuously refine instruction and surface actionable insights
• Collaborating with the tech team to evaluate and enhance AI literacy tools based on classroom results
• Developing scalable content that personalizes reading pathways for diverse learners

• Following a rigid scripted curriculum that ignores student needs or data
• Spending hours on traditional lesson planning, grading, or administrative overhead

Reading Interventionist Key Responsibilities
Develop a scalable, AI-enhanced reading program that enables early elementary students to achieve grade-level proficiency and cultivate a lifelong love of reading.
Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
• Skilled at assessing reading levels, grouping students, and designing differentiated instruction without pre-written curricula
• Proficient with AI/adaptive learning tools and responsive to student behaviors within them
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Willingness to work on-site at one of our campuses: Orange County, CA; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; or Washington, D.C. (Chantilly).

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
