Project Officer – University Plant-rich Pledge, Thailand focus
Role Summary

As Project Officer, you will coordinate the implementation of the Asia University Plant-Rich Pledge in Thailand – an initiative helping universities transition to plant-based and plant-rich dining for health, climate action, and youth empowerment.
You will work closely with university partners, student ambassadors, and faculty champions to deliver campaigns, events, and training, while tracking progress and impact. This role offers opportunities to grow your skills in project coordination, communications, and sustainability advocacy, with professional development and mentoring as part of your journey.
Job Details
Location: Thailand (Bangkok preferred; remote possible)
Position type: Full-time or Part-time (minimum 10 hours/week)
Reports to: ProVeg Asia Campaign Lead
Responsibilities
Programme coordination- Act as the primary liaison between ProVeg Asia and Thai university partners.
- Support onboarding and coordination with university working groups, dining teams, and student clubs.
- Monitor and evaluate programme implementation, including surveys and data collection.
- Recruit, train, and mentor student ambassadors and faculty champions.
- Coordinate campus campaigns, workshops, and events.
- Track monthly impact metrics (e.g. plant-based protein uptake, participation levels, curriculum integration, research grants).
- Organise plant-based culinary training sessions for chefs and caterers with external partners.
- Coordinate educational workshops for students, faculty, and dining staff.
- Coordinate localised communications in Thai.
- Translate and adapt campaign materials and toolkits.
- Support public events and media engagement for key milestones (e.g. Earth Day, Green Plates Summit).
- Maintain programme calendars and organise logistics for events, materials, and trainings.
- Prepare monthly progress reports in English.
- Support the delivery of small research grants and recognition activities.
Qualifications
Must-have- Fluency in spoken and written Thai and English.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project coordination, education, communications, or community engagement.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and time-management skills.
- Passion for sustainable food systems, climate action, or public health.
- Experience working with universities, student groups, or youth programmes.
- Event management experience.
- Familiarity with plant-based food and culinary training contexts.
- Alum of the universities of Chula, Kasetsart or Mahidol
