Technical Support Engineer
IDEMIA National Security Solutions (NSS) is seeking an experienced individual with diverse experience in IT to act as a Technical Support Engineer to assist our IT support team at customer locations. This role will require up to 75% travel to DoD Installations in support of NSS equipment installations and maintenance while interacting with key stakeholders and access a secure network to troubleshoot as required.
Requirements
- General Linux experience
- Ability to obtain an active Secret Security Clearance
- Common Access Card holder
- Ability to access a U.S. DoD installation with Common Access Card
- Knowledge of DoD base access
- Ability to travel to designated locations for installation access
- Fluent in English, additional regional languages a plus
- High-level network understanding
- Linux application support
- Docker experience
- Desired bash scripting
- System log analysis
- Windows administration
- Powershell
- PostgreSQL experience
- Familiarity with Enterprise Ashore Enclave (EAE), formally PSNET and Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field is desired
- Customer focused mindset
- Must possess strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to communicate issues and solutions in simplified manner.
- Must be proactive to identify and anticipate client (end user customers/system integrators) needs and make recommendations for implementation.
- Must have experience in working collaboratively with business partners to effectively resolve problems.
- Must be self-directed and self-motivated as well as accountable for results
- Must have excellent organization and time management skills which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to detail; must be able to understand and manage conflicting priorities; must have a proven track record for timely delivery of multiple parallel objectives
- Able to work under pressure
- Must possess demonstrated verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent listening skills
- Must be available and willing to travel up to 75%
- Must be able to bring discipline to drive results and follow established fundamental goals and objectives
- Must have ability to submit accurate and timely reports as needed
