Associate Director, Software Development
The Associate Director, Software Development will join IT, Platform Services to build new platforms and modernize legacy platforms. This role requires deep technical knowledge and experience, with a focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing internal content platforms.
Requirements
- Understanding the ecosystem and working with various development, shared service teams
- Work closely with product owners to understand business requirements and provide solution options
- Experience in working with multiple application environments, and support business continuity across multiple geographic regions
- Technically mentor and guide a group of developers, leading them to meet deliverables in an agile environment
- Hands-on experience with key development technologies including Java, Python, HTML5/CSS3/Javascript and Bootstrap
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of databases, integration architectures/patterns and data modelling
- API best practices, application servers, cloud services (especially AWS) and code quality/secure development
- Experience in DevOps, CI/CD and source control tools and best practices
- Able to work independently to create POCs and provide technical recommendations for solutions to problems with supporting evidence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
