Life & Disability Financial Underwriter

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first. The Life & Disability Financial Underwriter computes rates for group life and disability accounts, working with Life, AD&D, Short Term and Long Term Disability opportunities to prepare offers for clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Two or more years of Life, AD&D, Short Term and Long Term Disability underwriting and risk analysis
• Comprehensive understanding of risk pool management, manual rating
• Knowledge of the competitor landscape
• Strong negotiation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
• Customer service orientation
• Strong analysis and evaluation experience with the ability to negotiate with field partners as well as present to leadership the direction and support of options
