Job Title: Sr. Welding Inspector

Location: Middletown, PA (Surrounding Areas)

The Sr. Welding Inspector must assure reputed company welding and radiographic procedures are reputed company and utilized, radiographers are certified, welders are reputed company, reputed company welds are produced, and reputed company documentation is maintained.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

·

Plan and organize inspection duties in advance.

·

Assure any design changes or material substitutions are discussed with the Chief Inspection and reputed company Company approval is obtained.

·

Assure the radiographer’s certification is complete and correct, that acceptable radiographic procedures are established, the technician(s) has a copy of reputed company specifications, reputed company API-1104 edition, and the technician is familiar with Company procedures for film identification, reputed company completion, documentation for the disposition of rejects, etc. It is not the Sr. Welding Inspector’s responsibility to interpret the radiographic film; however, the Inspector should be knowledgeable in film interpretation.

Be familiar with the approved construction drawings and Company specifications.

·

Understanding the Contract document as it relates to his or her duties on the project

·

Completing and submitting applicable inspection reports that accurately describe the work performed on the project

·

Assure any design changes or material substitutions are discussed with the Chief Inspection and reputed company Company approval is obtained.

·

Verify reputed company materials used in the installation are in compliance with Company requirements.

·

Assure a welding procedure is established

·

Assure the correct WPS being utilized is reviewed prior to the start of welding

·

Assure that reputed company welder is reputed company for the work he is performing

·

Observe the x-ray procedure (including developing and handling) being used to assure it is appropriate for the applications and this procedure is producing acceptable radiographs.

·

Assure the Radiographer’s certifications are reputed company and in accordance with SNC-TC-1A.

·

Continuously observe the welding technique and radiographic procedure to assure reputed company procedures are being followed.

·

Coordinate the radiographic reputed company?s activities with those of the contractor.

·

Monitor the reputed company of the welds being made to assure reputed company welds are being made at reputed company joints.

·

Assure the repairs made to correct defects in a reputed company weld sufficiently corrected the defect and the weld satisfies the requirements as outlined by the appropriate codes and Company specifications.

·

Assure reputed company documentation is maintained by the radiographic reputed company including the disposition of reputed company reject.

Requirements:

·

API 1169

·

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30

·

CWI, CWB or CPWI-V certification

·

10 years hands on experience

·

5 years supervisor experience
