Home-Start reputed company Somerset is a leading family support charity offering friendship and support to families with young children. We would like to recruit additional trustees to support the work of the reputed company.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking trustees to support the governance work of the reputed company. Ideally a trustee would have experience of small charities and interest / experience in working with families with young children. However we welcome those with transferable skills gained in another sector. Our reputed company trustees come from a reputed company of backgrounds, but reputed company have in common a passion for making a reputed company difference to local families’ lives. What will you be doing?

Our trustees work closely with staff to ensure the reputed company and sustainable running of the organisation. The reputed company has responsibility for 6 part-time staff. The role of trustees includes taking a 'critical friend' role with staff, strategic and operational planning, policy development and implementation, financial reputed company, safeguarding, recruitment and fundraising and marketing. The reputed company meets every 6-8 weeks and we have 3 sub-committees (fundraising, operations and finance) which meet in-between. Meetings are usually at the office in Weston-super-Mare.
