About Technergetics and the Role

Technergetics is a company that is at the forefront of cutting-edge cyber technology research, driven by its location in the Griffiss Business & Technology Park. Our team works with a wide range of technologies, including mobile and web apps, Quantum computing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. As a Full Stack Developer I, you will be working on the development of a social media-themed web application to create a research intelligence software platform. This platform will enable discovery and reasoning over market data, allowing our customers to make informed decisions.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong foundation in software development principles, data structures, and algorithms. You will be working in a remote work environment, collaborating with teammates across the country, and contributing to all phases of the software development life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a new web application in a team setting to meet a new market need
  • Design software solutions, algorithms, and cloud architectures to satisfy product features and functionality defined by product owners and stakeholders
  • Contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle, including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, technical design, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment, data migration, and support
  • Participate in daily scrums and work with the scrum master on projects to support delivery timelines and priorities
  • Organize and prioritize team workload with the scrum team through story-pointing
  • Perform unit testing and debugging to identify and fix software defects
  • Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, React, Go, Rust
  • Experience in web app development
  • Experience in either Linux or Microsoft Windows platforms
  • Knowledge or experience in server-side development (API definitions, REST services, etc.)
  • Knowledge or experience with Automated Testing (JUnit, Jest, Cypress, etc.)
  • Experience with source code control systems, such as git
  • Knowledge or experience with Agile software development techniques
  • Experience with command-line environments
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:

  • Experience with Front End development (JavaScript, React, Angular, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Go, Typescript
  • Knowledge or experience in cloud-based computing platforms such as AWS
  • Experience with graph databases, such as Neo4J, or similar
  • Knowledge or experience in containerization technologies and deployment frameworks like Kubernetes or Docker
  • Knowledge of Continuous Delivery / Continuous Integration (DevSecOps, GitLab Pipelines, etc.)

Education and Certifications

While a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer programming, software engineering, or a closely related technical field is preferred, we will consider candidates with associate degrees or certificates in these areas, combined with relevant experience.

What We Offer

At Technergetics, we offer a competitive salary range of $60,000-$75,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

Clearance and Travel Requirements

Applicants selected for this role will be subject to a security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for, at minimum, Secret access to classified information. This position is not expected to require travel.
