About the Role
As a Customer Service Representative at UniFirst, you will be the primary point of contact between customers and the company, playing a vital role in ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers by responding to inquiries related to their accounts, procedures, and services via telephone or email, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both customers and UniFirst personnel, fostering a positive and supportive experience.
- Perform accounts receivable duties, including calling on outstanding accounts, processing credits and exchanges, and resolving account conflicts through UniFirst's escalation process.
- Partner with and provide administrative support to UniFirst's Sales Department, contributing to the team's success.
- Perform basic data entry and other administrative duties as required, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- 2 years of Customer Service experience in an administrative setting (preferred), with a proven track record of delivering excellent service.
- Prior Accounts Receivable experience (highly encouraged), with knowledge of best practices and procedures.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent (recommended), with a strong foundation in basic mathematics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professional telephone and email etiquette.
- Essential skills: active listener, responsive, and personable, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, TEAMS, etc.), with the ability to adapt to new software and systems.
- Time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A collaborative, team-player mindset, capable of working independently and contributing to the team's success.
- Problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment, with the ability to think critically and respond to challenges.
- Comfortable performing basic mathematical skills (i.e., adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, etc.), with accuracy and precision.
