Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Enablement Products group in Connected Aviation Solutions. As a Software Engineer, you will work on a team that develops state-of-the-art communications systems and implements embedded software on a number of our Airborne network platforms. These platforms support multiple ways of connecting the aircraft to the ground and the airlines, optimizing operational efficiency, improving safety, and reducing operational and maintenance costs. Our embedded software is written in C++ and our automated test environment is written in Python.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, demonstrate, develop, and maintain embedded software in C++ and Python on Linux OS for our connectivity solutions products
  • Work as an agile team member with remote and global teams, actively participating in peer reviews, agile sprint reviews, user stories refinement, and demos
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of software solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test plans, and user manuals
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and industry regulations

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
  • Embedded software development experience in Linux OS environment
  • Experience coding in C++ and Python

Preferred Qualifications

  • Continuous Integration experience, with Jenkins
  • Atlassian Suite knowledge (JIRA in particular)
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps process
  • Experience with DO-178B/C
