Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Child Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in San Bernardino County, CA. As a Child Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing psychotropic medication treatment to children and adolescents. Our ideal candidate is a board-certified or eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with excellent communication skills and experience working with diverse patient populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations of children and adolescents
  • Develop and implement individualized mental health treatment plans
  • Provide psychotropic medication treatment and other psychiatric treatments as needed
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop strong relationships with community providers and patients
  • Participate in teaching and supervising medical learners

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of medicine
  • Completion of a residency in psychiatry approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education
  • Possession of a valid Physician and Surgeon's certificate issued by either the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California
  • Possession of a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate
  • Certified (or eligible for certification) as a Diplomate by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in the subspecialty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in American Sign Language, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, and/or Vietnamese
  • Experience working with seriously mentally ill, eating disorders, and under-served populations
  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating in multidisciplinary treatment teams
