Job Summary

As a Patient Registrar, you will play a critical role in ensuring a positive patient experience. You will be responsible for greeting and checking in patients, gathering and entering patient demographics, obtaining insurance information, collecting co-pays, and scheduling appointments. If you have a high school diploma, a minimum of two years' experience in a medical office with a background in patient registration, and excellent customer service skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register patients, including gathering and entering/updating demographic and insurance information
  • Schedule appointments and ensure accurate and efficient patient flow
  • Collect co-pays and process payments
  • Assist patients with health histories and ensure accurate documentation
  • Room patients and prepare exam rooms for patient care
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to patient inquiries
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a medical office with a background in patient registration
  • Knowledge of medical insurance plans and carriers
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills and a patient-centered approach
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Experience with GE Centricity and Allscripts is desired
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
