Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Standards Data Analyst to join our team as a summer 2024 intern. As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation by identifying statistical patterns and performance metrics to improve the Quality Control division. This is a remote data entry position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform and assist others in the Quality Control group in ideal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data components.
- Assist in creating and presenting results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders.
- Assist in exploring ad-hoc requests resulting from emerging maintenance issues and provide logical answers to enable Senior Leadership to make business decisions while adjusting existing project responsibilities.
- Present insights, trends, and potential recommendations by using data visualization tools supporting the relevant marks of the investigation to ease partner understanding.
- Assist in creating and disseminating specific questions to pull and coordinate data from various sources, outlining the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements.
- Recognize irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and convey findings to the team.
- Assess the effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for patterns and errors.
- Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision.
- May perform other work duties as directed by Group Leader.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Involved ability to collect, organize, analyze large amounts of data with care and accuracy.
- Ability to effectively listen, understand, and communicate ideas and present written, verbal, or presentation delivered to discussions of varying audiences.
- Ability to evaluate business issues, identify valuable opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics.
- Should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase, is preferred.
- Ability to grasp the issue, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning.
- Ability to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications is preferred.
- Past internship, capstone projects, and research coursework is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, help/group-focused environment.
- Ability to focus on responsibilities seriously and be a self-motivated individual.
- Past internship experience in a related field is preferred.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data appropriately.
- Ability to plan and support large business initiatives.
