WHAT YOU’LL DO:
In this role you will:
Track and update residential development projects using available data sources.
Communicate with developers and/or planning agencies to obtain the latest development information.
Perform geocoding (“address-matching”) of student data and property assessor records.
Edit and create various GIS data layers, such as streets, schools, and study areas.
Assist in the creation of high-quality maps for client deliverables.
Support Project Managers with additional tasks as assigned, ensuring adherence to timelines and standards.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic familiarity with Windows file structures and file management.
Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, including experience with map creation, data visualization, and layer editing.
Understanding of GIS concepts such as geocoding, shapefiles, feature classes, and coordinate systems.
Ability to interpret and edit spatial data such as parcel records, student addresses, streets, and boundary lines.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established workflows and data standards.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a project team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
