About the Role: Shaping the Future of Finance Data Systems
As a Senior Solutions Architect - Finance Data Systems, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive Finance Data Lake/Mart that serves as a centralized repository for all financial transactions. This role requires a deep understanding of financial systems, ERPs, and data warehousing, as well as the ability to collaborate with senior finance leaders and technology stakeholders to drive business objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Driving Innovation and Excellence
- Leverage your expertise in finance systems and technology to drive the development of a Finance Data Lake/Mart that meets GEICO's current and future needs.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the software lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Lead design sessions with peers to ensure systems are well-designed, efficient, and meet business expectations.
- Collaborate with finance leaders and technology stakeholders to establish a vision and technology roadmap for the Finance Data Lake/Mart.
- Develop and implement Revenue and Expense Analytical solutions that drive business insights and inform strategic decision-making.
- Work with business sponsors to develop project roadmaps that align with business objectives and prioritize resource allocation.
- Support the implementation of a strong control and governance framework, ensuring compliance with SOX and audit requirements.
- Analyze and translate business and functional specifications into technical specifications, driving the delivery of technology solutions.
- Share best practices and improve processes within and across teams, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
Essential Qualifications: Expertise and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 20+ years of experience in finance systems, with a focus on industry-leading ERP solutions (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud, Workday, or SAP).
- 5+ years of experience in implementing and supporting FP&A applications, finance data lakes/warehouses/marts, and financial reporting tools.
- Deep finance domain expertise, with the ability to work with senior finance leaders to interpret their process and functional needs into system solutions.
- Strong understanding of FP&A budgeting, planning, and reforecasting processes, as well as experience with revenue or expense analytical solutions.
- Ability to communicate and work directly with leaders across technology and finance, driving collaboration and alignment.
- Sound understanding of project management techniques, methodologies, and best practices, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications: Enhancing Your Profile

- Experience with software development lifecycle, with a strong understanding of technical specifications and change requests.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality, with experience in implementing data management frameworks.
