As a Remote Live-Chat Customer Support Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing timely and effective support through our live chat platform. Your role will involve responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring that our customers have a positive experience with our brand. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple chats simultaneously, and escalating complex issues to senior team members when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via live chat, providing accurate and complete information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently, using multiple technologies, including chat and web-based inquiries.
  • Research customer account activity and notes to provide personalized support and resolve issues promptly.
  • Handle multiple job tasks simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively and managing your workload to meet productivity and quality standards.
  • Assist management with special projects related to customer service, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and quality during your scheduled shift, with minimal supervision.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with the latest products, services, and technologies.

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • At least 1 year of professional customer service experience, preferably in a large Call Center environment as a chat agent.
  • Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English (equivalent to CEF B2 level or above).
  • Ability to type 50 WPM or higher, with excellent typing accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet, with basic data entry and word processing skills.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends, based on call center needs.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection (Cable, Fiber, DSL) with a minimum download speed of 20 Mbps, upload speed of 10 Mbps, and ping of 100ms or less.
  • Hardwired connection from the modem/router to the device, with no splits/gaps or usage of Wi-Fi bridges.

Preferred Skills:

While not essential, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:

  • College degree or some level of college completed.
  • Ability to easily operate a computer, learning and adapting quickly to software applications.
  • Troubleshooting skills, with the ability to provide supporting help documentation.
  • Committed to quality and service matrix and culture.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to face changing situations.
  • Self-motivated, accountable approach combined with a strong sense of teamwork.
  • Excellent time management skills, with good organizational skills and attention to detail.
