Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and caring Assistant Teacher for Toddler Classroom to join our team at Little Tree Education. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with our Lead Teachers to create a engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages children to grow and develop. Key Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teachers in planning and implementing engaging and interactive lessons that promote learning and development.
• Support children in their daily activities, including snack and lunch preparation and clean-up.
• Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.
• Develop positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.
• Assist with classroom management and support Lead Teachers in maintaining a positive and respectful classroom environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with children aged three to six; Montessori experience a plus.
• Nurturing and kind demeanor with a heart for children.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Early childhood education certification or training.
• Experience with classroom management and lesson planning.
• Familiarity with Montessori principles and practices.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn our curriculum management system.
• Physical stamina to engage in activities with children and lift up to 50 pounds.
