As an Experienced Full Stack Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for the following key tasks:- Assist pharmacists with various tasks, including the preparation and dispensing of medications, under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and maintain accurate records.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting patients and assisting with services and products, resolving customer issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Develop strong relationships with patients, engaging with them to understand their needs and preferences, and providing personalized care and support.
- Model and share customer service best practices with colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription medications, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as processing claims, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate records.
- Participate in ongoing education and training programs to maintain and improve skills and knowledge in pharmacy operations and patient care.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication among colleagues.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:- A high school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in a related field (e.g., pharmacy technology, healthcare) is preferred.
- At least six months of experience in a retail or healthcare setting, preferably in a pharmacy environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in pharmacy systems and software.
- Able to work in a team environment, with a positive and flexible attitude.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a related role.
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, inventory management, and patient care.
- Experience with pharmacy software and systems, including electronic health records (EHRs) and pharmacy management systems (PMS).
- Basic math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
