- Conduct data analysis to develop business or product recommendations, including cost-benefit analysis, return on investment, forecasting, and influence analysis.
- Communicate effective presentations of findings and recommendations to various stakeholders, creating visual representations of quantitative data.
- Design and automate reports, iteratively build and model dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for analytical requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs, identify and complete analysis that incorporates data collection, analysis, real-time forecasting, and presentations.
- Assist Google in making key decisions to improve products and services, leveraging your analytical expertise to drive business outcomes.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Pursuing a graduate degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Sciences, etc.).
- Experience working with statistical packages (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, MATLAB, etc.).
- Experience articulating product questions, pulling data from datasets (SQL), and using statistics to arrive at a conclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
- Currently attending a degree program in the US and available to work full-time for several months beyond the academic term.
- In your penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship.
- Ability to translate analysis results into business recommendations.
- Interest and ability to work with data, statistics, analysis, and trends, and applied knowledge of measurement, statistics, and program evaluation.
- Excellent problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills, with strong business judgment.
