The Role: Virtual Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

As a Virtual Primary Care Nurse Practitioner at Galileo, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to our diverse patient population. Using our proprietary app and technology, you'll provide comprehensive and evidence-based primary care through asynchronous text-based chat and synchronous video. You'll work collaboratively with our clinical care team to optimize patient outcomes, leveraging data, technology, and operational rigor to drive excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide best-in-class care for Galileo patients managing complex and chronic illnesses, utilizing your excellent clinical judgment and our innovative technology.
• Deliver compassionate and empathetic care to patients across all age groups (0-100) and needs, including complex, chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and mental health.
• Work with a diverse patient population, fostering a culture that is inclusive of all backgrounds and needs.
• Solve patient problems efficiently and effectively by drawing on your resourcefulness, collaborating with team members, and leveraging your expertise.
• Utilize our proprietary clinician-patient platform, Google Suite, Slack, and other technologies to deliver care to patients virtually.

How We Work: Flexibility and Collaboration

At Galileo, we work in a 24/7 medical group environment, utilizing asynchronous text-based chat and synchronous video to provide high-quality, comprehensive primary care. We offer flexible scheduling, with 4-hour shifts available across various time slots (mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight on weekdays and weekends). We're looking for clinicians who can commit to a minimum of 14 hours a week, with opportunities to work more hours and become full-time and benefits eligible.

Compensation and Benefits: Competitive and Comprehensive

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $78/hour (regular rate) and $90/hour (premium rate), along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

About You: Qualifications and Skills

We're looking for passionate clinicians who are invested in solving complex problems that impact millions of lives. To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• 5+ years of advanced clinical experience in complex care, chronic care management, or primary care.
• Experience in or an appetite for learning digital-first healthcare (e.g., virtual medicine).
• Interest in new, innovative models of care that balance evidence-based approaches with creative ideas.
• High comfort level with using technology and various applications to deliver care to patients virtually.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Active state licensure in AZ, CT, FL, HI, IL, MI, NJ, NY, OH, PA, and/or TX, with the ability to obtain additional state licensures.
• Professional fluency in English/Spanish (including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding cultural nuances) is a plus.
