About the Role: Municipal Civil Engineer – Hybrid and Remote Possible

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a skilled and motivated Municipal Civil Engineer to join our team in Appleton, WI. As a key member of our Municipal Group, you will play a crucial role in preparing site civil engineering designs, specifications, plans, and estimates for a wide range of projects. These projects will include site grading, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, water and sewer infrastructure, roads, and park amenities, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare site civil engineering designs, specifications, plans, and estimates for projects, including site grading, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, water and sewer infrastructure, roads, and park amenities using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations to ensure the integrity and efficiency of our projects.
  • Conduct research, grant writing, and permitting for projects, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
  • Participate in construction observation and fieldwork, applying your technical expertise to real-world scenarios.

Skills and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, providing a solid foundation in the principles and practices of civil engineering.
  • Zero to 4 years of experience working in similar civil engineering areas, demonstrating your ability to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world contexts.
  • Previous experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling systems (such as HydroCAD, HecRAS, HecHMS, WinSLAMM), and construction observation, highlighting your technical expertise and versatility.
  • Co-op or intern experience, showcasing your ability to learn and grow in a professional environment.
