About the Team and the Role
The Marketing and Communications (MarComms) Strategy and Analysis team is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies that drive business growth and engagement. As a Manager of Strategy and Analysis, you will be responsible for analyzing data and providing insights that inform marketing and communications decisions, as well as developing and implementing strategic plans to drive business growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including article, development, SEO, and operations, to ensure that our marketing and communications efforts are aligned with business objectives and are driving maximum impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand their goals, challenges, and opportunities for TUDUM, Netflix's home for fans
- Assist the team in deeply understanding TUDUM's audience and their behavior on the site
- Analyze data around content and page traffic to recommend improvements to TUDUM's editorial designs
- Collaborate with Data Analysis engineers to design dashboards and reports to keep the TUDUM team updated on content successes
- Lead long-range budget planning and budget management throughout the year with an eye towards in-market impact
- Investigate content viewing behavior within Netflix to inform MarComms campaign strategies
- Influence internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization to take action on business opportunities based on insights generated
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- 6+ years of experience, with at least 2-3 years of experience in a data analysis role within a publishing organization; background in marketing and social analysis is a plus, but not required
- Familiarity with industry-standard metrics of success within digital publishing
- Deep understanding of consumer behaviors and discovery habits with entertainment, understands how those intersect with content catalog and services
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive alignment in the midst of ambiguity
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively influence and contribute with substantial recommendations/next steps
- Insatiable curiosity to learn new areas, stay up-to-date with industry advancements, and continually ask 'why'
- Excellent written (summaries and presentations) and verbal communication skills; timely communication
