As a Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional support to beneficiaries and providers. You'll interact with customers via our helpline, create and proofread letters, and maintain timeliness in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong decision-making skills, particularly when handling complex appeals. What You'll Do

As a Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Interacting with beneficiaries and providers via our helpline, responding to their inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Creating, formatting, and proofreading letters to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Managing and maintaining records, including intake for all appeals received by Arsenault.
  • Fostering effective working relationships with internal and external customers, including collaborating with the Review Team to identify areas for potential improvement.
  • Utilizing internal quality control tools to assess individual work and team processes.
  • Providing intake for all appeals received by Arsenault, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Answering the Beneficiary Helpline, determining how to best assist callers, and properly entering referrals into the CMS system.
  • Ensuring all letters sent out are timely, accurate, and reviewed for grammatical and spacing errors.
  • Validating notices and all components of medical records.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-high school business courses helpful.
  • Medical terminology desired.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with a courteous and patient demeanor.
  • Strong written communication skills, including good grammar, punctuation, spelling, and hyphenation.
  • Customer-focused, results-oriented, and capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.
  • General knowledge of a PC-based computer system, with the ability to learn additional software packages as needed.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two to three years of clerical experience, including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities.
  • Prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology recommended.
  • Previous data entry or other clerical experience a plus.
