We're now seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Outreach Coordinator to lead our Teen Talk Lines program, providing critical support and resources to teens in need. Our Teen Talk Lines program is designed to offer a safe and confidential space for teens to connect with trained peers and receive support, guidance, and resources. Key Responsibilities
- Provide active listening and support to teens calling or texting our Teen Talk Lines, offering referrals and community resources as needed.
- Lead presentations to schools and community groups, promoting our program and services.
- Oversee and support our team of teen volunteers, providing guidance, mentorship, and education.
- Develop and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote our program and services.
- Collaborate with other Lead Certified Peer Specialists to promote and support the growth of our warmlines serving Montgomery and Chester Counties.
- Coordinate program marketing, development, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Respond to telephone calls/texts for support or information, making outbound calls/texts as needed.
- Provide oversight for other team members on shifts when the Associate Director and Assistant Director are not present.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Certified Peer Specialist certification, or a willingness to complete within the first 6 months of work.
- At least one year of experience working with teenagers in a behavioral health setting.
- A history of personal lived experience with mental health.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, mentorship skills, and creativity in creating ideas and solutions.
- Knowledge of peer support model, recovery principles, and motivational interviewing.
- Advocacy skills in mental health and suicide prevention.
- Proficiency in, or the ability to learn and use workplace technologies, platforms, and an electronic health record.

Work Environment and Culture
As a Youth Outreach Coordinator, you'll have the flexibility to work in a combination of remote and office-based settings, with at least two days per week in our Plymouth Meeting office.
