About the Role
As a Primary Care Account Executive, you'll play a critical role in driving sales growth and developing strategic customer relationships within your assigned geographic territory. This individual contributor role requires a strong and diverse skillset, with a focus on achieving gross profit and sales targets. You'll work closely with various McKesson specialists to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities, leveraging data and analytics to inform your sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Performance: Achieve annual Gross Profit goals and related MBO targets through strategic sales planning and execution.
- Account Penetration: Grow existing customer relationships through targeted sales efforts, focusing on product penetration and wallet share growth.
- New Business Acquisition: Identify and acquire net new customers, expanding your territory's customer base.
- Territory Management: Develop and maintain annual territory sales plans, utilizing sales technology and analytics to optimize results.
- Collaboration and Engagement: Work closely with McKesson Sales Specialists to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Professional Development: Demonstrate ICARE and ILEAD behaviors, participating in ongoing training and development to enhance your sales and negotiation skills.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 4+ years of relevant sales experience.
- Prior experience in lab, B2B, or distribution sales, with a proven track record of building and maintaining lasting customer relationships.
- Strong sales drive, with the ability to position and sell value propositions and technology solutions.
- Experience managing territory profitability and collaborating with sales specialists.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), sales analytics, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience selling a large product line or managing a large number of SKUs.
- Proven ability to present to C-suite executives.
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with the ability to inform sales strategies.
