Job Overview
As an Assisted Living Coordinator at Sunrise Senior Living, you will play a vital role in facilitating and leading the Assisted Living Neighborhood team. Your primary responsibilities will include planning, organizing, and developing the overall operation of the assisted living neighborhood, in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as Sunrise Senior Living standards and regulations. You will also be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching a high-quality team, providing recognition and creating an engaged culture for team members, residents, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans, organizes, develops, and leads the overall operation of the assisted living neighborhood, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as Sunrise Senior Living standards and regulations.
- Recruits, hires, trains, and coaches a high-quality team, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion.
- Provides recognition and creates an engaged culture for team members, residents, and families, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- Ensures that the community follows all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as Sunrise standards, pertaining to resident care and services.
- Partners with the leadership team to ensure community compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Demonstrates a passion for seniors and their well-being, with a focus on delivering exceptional care and services.
- Understands and manages the department budget, including labor and other expenses, and its impact on the community's bottom line.
- Attends regular meetings, including Stand Up, Cross Over, Department Head Meetings, Town Hall, Quality Improvement, and others as directed by the Executive Director.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful as an Assisted Living Coordinator at Sunrise Senior Living, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of supervisory/management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, employee relations, and supervision of daily operations in assisted living or long-term care.
- BA/BS degree may be required based on state requirements.
- Demonstrated good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new applications.
- Effective organization, time management, and written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to handle multiple priorities and delegate assignments.
- Scheduling experience is a definite asset.
- A dedication to seniors and their well-being is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care, with a focus on leadership and team management.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to senior care.
- Certifications in senior care, such as Certified Assisted Living Administrator (CALA) or Certified Senior Advisor (CSA).
