Job Summary

We're not looking for order takers or content readers – we're seeking individuals who can engage with our customers on the phone, think critically in real-time, and have a genuine passion for helping others. As a Customer Service Representative at Chewy, you'll be the face of our brand, providing personalized support to our customers and helping them find the perfect products for their furry friends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Connect directly with customers who reach out to us for various reasons, from helping them find their new pet to resolving critical issues.
  • Examine and resolve customer inquiries, think proactively, and schedule follow-up calls as needed to ensure issue resolution.
  • Work with empathy, attention to detail, persistence, sympathy, and thoughtfulness to provide exceptional customer experiences and build strong relationships with our customers and colleagues.
  • Be open to learning and growth, sharing feedback, and receiving input from colleagues and supervisors to continuously improve our customer support processes.
  • Collaborate with partners, supervisors, and colleagues across various levels of the organization using virtual collaboration tools like Zoom, Slack, and webcams to foster a culture of teamwork and customer-centricity.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 2 years of customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to multitask (e.g., handle phone calls while researching on the computer and taking notes) and perform well in a high-speed environment.
  • Proficiency in using computers, both for data entry and navigation through systems and the web to find information to support our customers.
  • The ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
  • Flexibility to adjust your schedule and work beyond 40 hours as needed by the team.
  • A demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to pass a background check.

Technical Requirements

To ensure a seamless customer experience, you'll need:

  • A dedicated workspace that can accommodate multiple computer screens and is free from distractions, including background noise.
  • A webcam-compatible workspace.
  • A reliable, high-speed internet connection (30 Mbps+ download speed/10 Mbps+ upload speed). You can test your internet speed at speedtest.net or by contacting your internet service provider.
  • A wireless or tablet device for two-factor authentication through Okta Confirm. Options include:
    • A smartphone or tablet that can download the Okta mobile app.
    • A phone that can receive SMS messages and calls.
