Job Summary
As a Part-time Remote Bookkeeper, you'll be responsible for performing a range of routine and non-routine accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements for internal and external reporting. This role is deadline-driven and fast-paced, with a high volume of transactions, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly and month-end closing journal entries accurately and timely, including bank account activity, T&E reporting, accruals, and prepaids.
- Perform period-end account reconciliations accurately and timely for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Adhere to a strict month-end close schedule to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Maintain our ERP system by inputting data, coding expenses, scheduling required jobs, and verifying data.
- Assist with preparation of internal controls and both internal and external audit activities.
- Prepare predefined or ad hoc reports for management and periodic reports as required for third-party contracts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- An Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in Bookkeeping.
- Prior experience with RTP accounting systems, preferably Oracle (Host or Hyperion).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to manage sensitive data while maintaining confidentiality.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Experience in writing routine reports and correspondence.
