About the Commerce Lifecycle & Platform Team

The Commerce Lifecycle & Platform team, within the Growth XD department, is responsible for creating seamless and engaging customer acquisition and retention experiences. As a Content Design Manager in this team, you will lead a group of talented Content Designers in developing strategic content that minimizes friction and helps Netflix communicate effectively with a global audience. Your mission will be to turn every prospective Netflix member into an informed, delighted, and satisfied customer.

About You

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and build a diverse, globally-minded team of Content Designers, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to ensure their growth and success.
  • Develop and execute Content Design strategies that stay ahead of the growing business, elevate the user experience, and drive revenue growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other design, writing, product, and engineering leaders to shape the strategic product vision for the Commerce Lifecycle & Platform team.
  • Provide strategic clarity and focus, identifying and unblocking barriers to success, and ensuring that the team is equipped to deliver high-quality results.
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple teams, including Product Design, Product Management, and Engineering, to drive innovation and simplify complex problems.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 5+ years of experience managing a Content Design team, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Ability to build successful working relationships with stakeholders, partners, and team members at the individual and group level.
  • Experience developing and guiding language systems, scaling strategies, and other Content Design deliverables.
  • Experience working on global products and partnering with Globalization teams to ensure that content is effective and engaging for diverse audiences.
  • Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision-making, with the ability to simplify complex problems and support ideas with data.
