Job Overview

As a Data Engineering Summer Intern, you will partner with experienced data professionals to support important data programs, including cross-departmental data projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in data analytics and engineering while working on solving business problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with data, product, and engineering teams to gather and understand data support expectations
  • Work with Data Architects, product, and engineer teams on enhancements
  • Communicate insights with relevant team members
  • Participate in the development and implementation of data engineering projects
  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of data pipelines and architectures
  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation and knowledge sharing

Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must:

  • Be currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field of study
  • Be returning to school in Fall 2025 to complete your degree
  • Have basic knowledge of SQL and ETL processes
  • Be proficient with Excel (including complex functions) and Lucidchart
  • Possess excellent documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data engineering tools and technologies, such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or cloud-based data platforms
  • Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance
  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, Java, or Scala
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
