Optimize Your Work-Life Balance - 100% Outpatient Body Imaging (Partner/On-Site, Remote, or Hybrid)
Summary:
MSC-PA is seeking a motivated, patient-centered radiologist to join a rapidly growing body imaging team with flexible work arrangements including on-site partnership, remote W2/1099, or hybrid models. The role offers a superior work-life balance with outpatient "bankers' hours," minimal call, and competitive compensation, with top earners exceeding $1,000,000 annually.
About Us:
Our physicians’ group, Medical Scanning Consultants (MSC-PA), provides diagnostic and interventional radiologic services to Rayus, which is a nationwide provider of outpatient medical imaging services. Due robust and steady growth, and we are looking to hire motivated and patient-centered radiologists to join our team. We are actively recruiting on-site partners, employed teleradiologists, or potentially a hybrid thereof. Because we have surplus of volume and revenue, any recruit can “hit the ground running” with an ample (and growing) referral base, stable case mix, and favorable payor mix.
Our body imagers can read entirely within our own subspecialty. Participation in mammography, spinal imaging, and PET-CT/NM are available (and lucrative!) but strictly optional.
We enjoy a superior balance of work-life and compensation. Top earners make over $1,000,000 in receipts annually, while taking 12-17 weeks of vacation, working outpatient “bankers’ hours” and taking minimal call (i.e., no pager required). An individual’s caseload will vary according to his or her preferred modalities and case mix but a typical day might include 60-100 cases (primarily CT, US, and MRI with a smaller proportion of XR, DEXA). A leisurely pace (e.g., 40 cases daily) would amount to roughly $600,000 in gross receipts, depending on final case mix.
For On-Site Positions:
On-site positions are currently available in the Minneapolis-St. Paul, Seattle-Tacoma, and Salt Lake City metro areas.
Each Rayus imaging center is staffed by an on-site radiologist from approximately 9a to 5p, M-F. Weekend responsibilities are limited to a few Saturday mornings per year. Most radiologists have home workstations for optional telecommuting.
Light procedures (e.g., thyroid FNA, paracentesis, soft tissue biopsy) are strongly encouraged but not required. Fluoroscopic imaging (e.g., esophagram, HSG) are also encouraged but not required. Training and mentorship are freely available both upon hire and on an ongoing basis.
For Remote Positions:
We can structure the job to suit the applicant's needs. We can offer W2 or 1099 options; pay-per-click as a percentage of receipts or on a per wRVU basis; base salary with bonus or pure pay-for-production, etc.
No dashboards! Because we are ~100% outpatient; the vast majority of cases are routine. That gives a remote reader considerable flexibility over their own schedule--as long as turnaround times are being met, the reader can choose when to read and when to step away. Vacation and time off are also extremely flexible--our current tele-readers can take time off virtually at will.
Clinical Info:
We use Merge PACS, Powerscribe360, aRIES RIS, Invivo DynaCAD, and MIM-64, and Vitrea software packages. The majority of our Ultrasound machines are Canon’s excellent Aplio scanners. We have a variety of 3T, 1.5T, and open 1.2T MR magnets (primarily Siemens, some GE), and a variety of 32- and 16-slice CT scanners (primarily GE, some Siemens).
At present, our greatest needs are general body imaging and oncologic imaging. However, there is plenty of prostate MRI, rectal/perianal MRI, cardiovascular imaging, obstetric imaging, MRA fibroid mapping, etc, to go around.
