Your Role as a Remote Health Coach

As a Health Coach at Vida, you'll work virtually with members to inspire lasting behavior change, improve their health and wellness, and support their journey towards achieving their goals. You'll be an integral part of our coordinated care team, working within our guidelines, Scope of Practice, HIPAA, and industry standards to ensure the highest quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspire and collaborate with members to adopt healthy lifestyle behaviors, such as weight management, healthy eating, increased physical activity, stress management, and chronic health condition prevention and management.
• Coach members in our comprehensive programs for mind and body, utilizing a Motivational Interviewing framework to help them set and achieve SMART health goals.
• Communicate effectively with members through individual and group video calls and electronic messaging, adhering to program cadence expectations.
• Document key information during video consultations using our application(s).
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care and a best-in-class member experience.
• Stay up-to-date with all training requirements and communications.
• Adhere to department policies and procedures as outlined in provider manual documents.
• Meet or exceed target consult time management guidelines and provider-level quality metrics and efficiency benchmarks.

Expectations and Requirements:

• Primary available work hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-8pm in your time zone, and Saturday, 8am-12pm.
• Accurately document hours worked using ADP pay codes.
• Meet ongoing patient exclusion screening requirements related to licensures and certifications.
• Maintain strict confidentiality, following HIPAA guidelines and processes to protect Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Agree to abide by Vida's policies and consents related to services provided to members.

Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful as a Health Coach at Vida, you'll need:

• A degree in a health-related field, such as nutrition, public health, exercise physiology, psychology, health science, or health education.
• A health coaching certification from an accredited, National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) approved program.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience coaching members one-on-one with health goals after receiving an approved health coach certification.
• The ability to pass Vida's Mock Motivational Interview session.
• A high level of familiarity with technology, including GSuite, Slack, and other basic software applications.

Preferred qualifications include:

• CHES or NBC-HWC certification.
• Fluency in Spanish.
