Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our team in Augusta, NJ. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction to students in the absence of the regular teacher, following the lesson plans and curriculum provided
• Manage the classroom environment, ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for all students
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and school staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive learning community
• Provide individualized support to students as needed, adapting instruction to meet the diverse needs of the classroom
• Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents, keeping them informed of student progress and any issues that may arise
• Participate in professional development opportunities, seeking out ways to improve teaching practices and stay up-to-date on best practices in education

Essential Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
• Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor
• NJ Substitute Credential
• Background check and TB risk assessment (we will cover the cost of this)
• Full COVID-19 vaccination
• A passion for education and a commitment to putting students first
