The Role
As a Lead Clinical Data Analyst, you will report to our Analytics Manager and work closely with the Clinical Strategy & Research team, Product, and Go-To-Market teams to drive business outcomes through data-driven insights. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating member utilization and outcomes to maintain clinical rigor and drive product improvements and revenue growth
- Analyzing member data to understand which products and services lead to improved clinical results and sharing key insights with stakeholders
- Conducting statistical analyses to support clinical and scientific research
- Creating a compelling story around member outcomes and our value proposition
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Visualization: Identify key metrics, align definitions across the company, implement them in our database, and report on them via Looker
- Outcomes and ROI Analyses: Own outcomes and ROI analyses and reporting; simplify data to allow customers to visualize the complete member journey and understand the value of their investment in Modern Health
- Deep-Dive Data Analyses: Conduct in-depth data analyses using SQL, Python, or other tools and translate results into actionable recommendations to improve clinical outcomes and the member care journey
- Statistical Methodologies: Apply advanced statistical methodologies to analyze large-scale datasets generated from observational studies and real-world patient data
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the Clinical Research Team to generate and publish scientific evidence about the platform and communicate findings to clients and prospects
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related field
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in healthcare or health tech analytics, with 3+ years conducting statistical analyses in a clinical or biomedical research setting
- Technical Skills: Expertise in SQL, data analysis, and data visualization; proficiency in statistical analytics, including familiarity with Python, R, or equivalent tools
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Experience with Looker or an equivalent BI tool; ability to apply data and analytics concepts to business problems cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Digital Health: Experience working in digital health or a related field
- Data Science or Data Engineering: Experience in data science or data engineering
- High-Growth Startup Experience: Experience working in a high-growth startup environment
