Program Overview & Key Responsibilities

The Commercial & Customer Experience Strategy MBA program is a rotational development program that will immerse you in various aspects of Delta's commercial and customer experience operations. Over the course of two years, you will have the opportunity to work in multiple roles, including Network Planning, Revenue Management, Marketing, Sales, Reservations, and Customer Experience.

As a participant in this program, you will be responsible for:

  • Maximizing profitability by aligning capacity with demand through strategic deployment of aircraft and development of new city and route opportunities.
  • Investigating competitors' pricing actions, initiating sales and other promotions to maintain market share, and analyzing airline consumer behavior to devise creative revenue-generating strategies.
  • Leveraging data to develop promotion and channel strategies to drive incremental passenger revenue and improve value-led communication strategies with customers.
  • Improving the travel experience for Delta's corporate clients by analyzing the financial contribution of incentive programs and developing new sales strategies to generate incremental revenue.
  • Developing recommendations for process improvements in reservations centers, call-handling, and segmentation to enhance customer service, employee engagement, and cost efficiencies.
  • Driving initiatives to improve the customer experience.

What You Need To Succeed

To be considered for this program, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program with a planned graduation date by Summer 2025.
  • At least three years of post-undergraduate work experience in a dynamic, professional environment or relevant military experience.
  • Ability to work onsite in Delta's Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the internship.
  • Curiosity about the airline industry and a passion for learning.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Consistent track record of excellence and ability to excel in a fast-paced, matrix-team environment.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize safety and security, embracing diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possession of a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency, and authorization to work in the United States.
