Data Analyst - Regulatory Data and Systems (New or Recent Graduate Opportunity)
About the position
Responsibilities
• Participate in the sourcing, validation, analysis, and reconciliation of data for regulatory reporting.
• Analyze commercial and consumer loan and portfolio data, advising management of trends and significant changes.
• Support initiatives to improve existing processes or create new processes related to regulatory reporting.
• Perform prescribed analysis and ad hoc portfolio monitoring/reporting activities as assigned.
• Execute work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service for scheduled reporting production processes.
• Analyze data and provide risk-related insights and recommendations for the assigned portfolio.
• Work with various data owners to discover and select available data sources for analytical needs.
• Ensure strong governance and effective controls across risk reporting activities.
• Gather and format data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
Requirements
• Typically between 1-3 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Knowledge of risk management metrics, KPIs, and KRIs.
• Knowledge of industry trends and regulatory requirements for risk reporting.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint.
• Moderate experience with SQL.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in risk/portfolio management and analysis.
• Familiarity with banking/trading product operations, finance/accounting, and retail/commercial lending.
