Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. No experience required. We will provide all training. Must have the ability to provide exceptional customer service. This role requires theuse of various tax software programs to assist clients in filing their taxes accurately and efficiently. Flexible schedule. This is 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Responsibilities • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Analyze financial data to identify potential deductions and credits that benefit clients. • Utilize tax software to manage client accounts and tax returns. • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and offering guidance on tax-related matters. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate filings. • Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining accurate records of income and expenses. • Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency in tax preparation services. • Conduct financial analysis to support clients' long-term financial planning needs. Skills • Strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and tax regulations. • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software applications. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. • Strong math skills for accurate calculations in tax preparation. • Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting is preferred. • Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and techniques. • Effective communication skills for providing exceptional customer service. • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak tax season while maintaining attention to detail. • Familiarity with marketing strategies related to financial services is a plus. • Competence in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
